The Journal of Paleontological Sciences is a unique cooperative effort between members of the AAPS and members of academia interested in bringing privately held fossil specimens into the light of scientific knowledge. It is sponsored and supported by the AAPS through membership dues, private donations, volunteers and through the sale of advertising. We want to make sure this website always maintains an air of free and open access to all interested parties. We wish to encourage community members to publish on their findings and thus, unlike many other journals, intend to never impose a page fee for publication of manuscripts. As a result we depend highly on advertising dollars to continue to sponsor this most important effort. All proceeds from advertising revenue go towards maintaining and developing the website and the annual print edition journal.
